Privacy Policy
Karaoke Room provides an online singing experience for its user members. Members are able to record, upload and play back karaoke recordings of their favorite songs. Users' nicknames are displayed with each recording, but personal information is limited to what is made viewable on sign-up.
What Information is Gathered
Karaoke Room collects name, address, phone, e-mail address and age information from its members. This information is used to communicate Karaoke Room news and information to its membership base. However, that information is not sold or made available to third parties for any purpose. Disclosing information regarding hobbies, interests, or occupations is optional and is only used to bring further enhancements to the membership base and enrich the community experience. We will from time to time present opportunities outside the Karaoke Room which we feel could be a benefit to our membership base. Karaoke Room is not responsible for content on these other sites (usually affiliates or advertisers, but sometimes special services) or for information gathered from those sites. Use care when disclosing information to any outside link. Although we will from time to time make such offers available, we will never sell or give users' personal information to any third parties.
Although e-mail addresses are gathered for membership purposes (to communicate membership news or updates), a user's personal e-mail address is not displayed publicly on the website. Non-active members may also be contacted via their e-mail address on file with the service to relate information about Karaoke Room and keep them notified of information on the website or invite them back to the service.
Contests & Promotions:
From time to time, Karaoke Room or a partner may run contests or promotions. Members may be asked to provide e-mail addresses, names, addresses or phone numbers in addition to answering questions or submitting contested material at the time of registration for such contests or promotions. It will be made clear at the time how the information gathered will be utlilized for the promotion or contest.
Karaoke Room logs IP addresses for its users. This non-personal information is recorded to manage the website and track usage to help us improve the service. IP addresses are also recorded for security purposes. Breaches to the safety and security of other members will not be tolerated and IP addresses deemed responsible for malicious conduct can be blocked.
Use of Cookies:
Some features of Karaoke Room utilize cookies to record sessions or user's preferences. Karaoke Room also presents advertising from third parties. Many of them use a cookie to track leads from Karaoke Room to their site. Users can set their browser to reject all or some cookies, but the user experience may be less than optimal. To learn how to set cookie preferences, users will need to consult the ''Help'' tab of their preferred browser.
Correcting or Updating Personal Profile
To change or modify personal information, user may log in to their account using their username and password. After login, go to Edit Account Information and make any necessary changes. Only the user's nickname cannot be changed.
E-Mail Opt-Out
Members may opt-out of receiving e-mail notices at any time by contacting us with the subject line "E-Mail Opt-Out" to be added to the Do Not Mail list.
Changes
Karaoke Room may make changes to its privacy policy from time to time. Such changes will be posted on the site at the time the change is made. Users are bound to the changes in policy if the service is used beyond the date such changes are made public.
Termination
Karaoke Room reserves the right to terminate or reduce the accessibility of all or part of the service, to a user or account at any time - temporarily or permanently - at our sole discretion for any reason without prior notice.
